Trip Overview:
We will spend a "classroom day" in-town to prepare for the trip both mentally and physically. Practice setting up tents, lighting stoves, discussing proper clothing, and repackaging food to fit into bear canisters. This day will be hosted in Fairbanks.
The next 4 days will be spent in the mountainous terrain of the Denali State Park. Here we will carry our food and home on our backs as we hike up to a ridgeline, hopefully sneak a peak at Denali, and continue to learn and hone essential backpacking skills.
