W.I.L.D. can help build confidence and competence in a multitude of advanced skills such as anchoring, direct belayed top-roping,  anchoring concepts, establishing a functional master point, sport climbing, lead climbing, seconding (following) a lead climb, and more.

If you are seeking to find out what rock climbing is all about, we recommend our Grapefruit Rocks Day Trip to gain exposure to climbing. This is ideal for people of all ages whether they be individuals, couples, families or organized groups.

*Price includes: Transportation to trip destination, AMGA SPI certified trip leaders, and W.I.L.D.'s equipment.

Anchor Building Workshop

Two quickdraws? Or maybe webbing and locking carabiners? What about cordelette?

 

There are many ways to make a safe and redundant anchor system. Learn the principles behind a safe system, and practice building basic to more advanced anchors for different situations. 

Women on the Wall 

No Previous Experience Required

This trip out to Grapefruit Rocks is perfect for individuals who identify as women to get on outside rock amongst a supportive group of other women. Aimed toward beginner climbers or "gym-to-crag" climbers: This day will consist of top-rope climbing and will go over basic gear, safety, belaying, and climbing techniques/movements when on rock. 

Intro to Outdoor Climbing 

Previous Knowledge & Experience Preferred

This is a perfect course to bridge knowledge from inside a climbing gym and to apply it to top-rope on outside rock. Learn safe anchor building/cleaning principles, belaying, and climbing movement in this 2 day course.

 

Although not required, those with some previous climbing experience will most benefit from this course.

Intro to Outdoor Sport Lead Climbing

Want to expand into outdoor sport leading?

This is the course for you. Learn to lead belay, lead climb, and the components of making a safe sport anchor.

**Prerequisites: Quick & efficient PLUS/PBUS method belaying, applicable knots, comfortable top-roping 5.8 at minimum.
